Dead End Poet Society PoemsHonorable Mention 2007 Good Friend by Helen Hutchinson, 4th grade Badger Road Elementary A new girl in the class. She says good morning. She talks so politely. She just doesn't get it. At lunch I invite her over. Almost forgot her name is Andrea. I invited her over. What a mistake. So picky. Maybe I shouldn't have. She complained. She whined. She drove me nuts. At recess she wanted to play. Oh no! What would I say? NO! But at the end of the day she was sad. I said, "Would you like to be my friend?" Sure!
